    Mr. Yang Dongyang graduated from Xiamen University in 2008, majored in both law and the English language and culture. Thereafter, he joined Wang Jing & Co., Xiamen Office.

    Mr. Yang Dongyang has outstanding experience in handling litigation matters in connection with ships, marine transportation, terminals, shipyards, logistics, insurance, international trade and corporate matters, and is well-known in the industry for handling many typical cases. In particular, the case concerning disputes over arrest of and mortgage over M/T “AMIN 2” and the case concerning application for recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards in respect of M/V “GLORY COMFORT” are selected as model maritime trial cases by the Supreme People's Court of China, and the case concerning M/T “STI CONDOTTI” contact with a petrochemical terminal and the case concerning oil spill from M/T “ISS CANTATA” are ranked as outstanding dispute resolution cases by the Business Law Journal.

    By providing long-term and regular legal consultancy services for local companies in Fujian Province, including but not limited to ship companies, terminals, shipyards, manning agents and logistic companies, Mark is also quite experienced in non-litigation matters, especially corporate matters.

    Further, Mr. Yang Dongyang is always dedicated to legal research on the theory and the practice, and contributed  many articles with significant guidance in the practice, including but not limited to: serial articles regarding “Way of survival and development and business trend of shipowners in Fujian Province”, serial articles regarding “Commercial insurance, work-related injury insurance and tortious liability of shipowners in seafarer’s claims for personal injury compensation”, “China STA now clearly instructed how to collect tax for proceeds of auction of foreign vessels by Chinese courts”, “How to reasonably avoid and transfer the responsibility for safety in production and operation shouldered by responsible persons of port and shipping enterprises” and “Analysis on VAT-related legal issues in compensation under cargo transportation and property insurance contracts”.
